Lessons learned from the last 4 years of travel production
Bring in someone local. In 2023 we had the great pleasure of working with journalist Mohamad Chreyteh on a week-long shoot around Beirut for the Discovery Channel. From the government/military approval, to transportation, translation, and story perspective, that shoot wouldn’t be possible with a partner like that. Even going to a familiar US city, a local DP, sound operator, or PA will always make things run more smoothly, or at the very least give you the good lunch recs.
